Superficial in your analysis? What happens now that AOL starts its free service in Europe this week? AOL can pump a billion in cash into selling and promotions in its Overseas markets. How would it even be possible for Freeserve to even begin competing? Thank God Freeserve is going public soon- otherwise they would be wiped out by AOL. What will happen when AOL begins capturing the European business market? I think you know the answers.
FREE SERVICE IN EURO...MORE GREAT NEWS FOR AOL Although online service is free...AOL will get a large percentage of "hidden income" through per minute online connection... (hope you are aware that in Europe phone companies charge internet users online connection fee for every minute that they stay on line)...on top of it AOL will also get advertising fee...and more Euro dollars will become AOL dollars.
uses AOl. He writes his letters off line due to the per minute cost and has no qualms with the AOL serevice fees. He will be happy to have something for nothing ... but the per minute costs are the real reason that he limits online time. AOL will continue to get their share of this charge. Alrighta AOL.
