If you're "anti-AOL", go ahead and sell your
shares, then GET OFF AOL's MESSAGE BOARD! It's pessimists
like you who drive stock values lower by spreading
negative rumors. So, if you don't have anything good to
say about AOL, don't say anything at all! We know
that AOL is an excellent, future-oriented company, and
that its stock value will skyrocket before long! We

MSFT purchased hotmail.com for a few hundred
million dollars, contemplating that they would grow their
subscriber base. They did send e-mails to all hotmail.com
subscribers, but that did not grow their subscriber base. In
the real sense MSFT lost money buying hotmail.com. To
add insult to injury, hotmail was opearting on a Sun
platform and not NT. MSFT did spend a huge amount to
convert it to NT, but that did not help them
either.
