probably an over reaction
its just that Homeland Security advised users to disable it pending Oracle fixing some vulnerabilities
- a lot of confusion about what those are are which components or all is compromised
it is being 'picked' on by the hacks because it is so widespread and supposedly msft and aapl O/S's have been improved such that it is less costly for them to pick on Java instead
and I always thought of IB as being very TraderWorkstation dependent, their Web product 'looks' more difficult but I won't use TW until the all clear is sounded
when googling it i ran across old articles (Sept '12) suggesting it should be dropped....in favor of HTML5?
