The problem I have noticed with many of the bloggers, ie "experts" on the web that write these articles is that most never follow up their past "predictions".
WEC is up about 3 bucks not including the Dec dividend payment since that article, so beware of anything you read. I have been with this stock since the mid-90's and there have been good years and bad years, but reinvesting the dividends really takes the sting out. If you get in the habit of trading in and out everytime you read one of these self-proclaimed experts, you will go insane.
Now, the best gift shareholders can get is a nice dividend increase next year since we are below the industry average in payout ratio.
Some merit with Jaffe's opinion that dividends could be higher. That could help this stock get on a better track. What he doesn't realize that utilities in Wisconsin 'grow' by adding to the capital structure- not always by adding new customers. The capitalization of this company will nearly double when the new Oak Creek project is complete.
