16-Nov-05 09:16 ET In Play SanDisk: NAND prices remain stable - UBS (SNDK) 57.00 : UBS notes modest declines in NAND spot and retail pricing and its detection of some increased vendor discounting may be indicating a more normal trend of NAND flash ASP declines may be returning, although quarter to date pricing levels indicate still tighter than seasonal supply condition persist overall. The firm believes pricing will decline further as industry supply closes the gap on demand. Moreover, stronger than anticipated DRAM ASP erosion coupled with additional CapEx announcements suggests pricing pressures are also likely to mount longer term as traditional DRAM manufacturers increase their attention on the more lucrative NAND market. The firm revised down to $62 PT (from $65) based on 25x (down from 26x) its C2006 EPS estimate of $2.50.
