That is not the key excerpt at all. In fact, it is misleading. IM Flash is 2 yrs behind Samsung and even further behind SNDK/Toshiba. And IM Flash will be even more behind and endangered if they don't sign an MLC agreement with SNDK immediately. And by the time INTC/MU get their act together with 70 nm, Toshiba/SNDK/Samsung will be in the 35 or 23 nm range - IM Flash will be in NO POSITION at all to compete with that.
it would be foolish to underestimate INTC(and their 12 billion in cash) just because they`re down right now. The INTC/MU/LEXR coalition will provide more than formidable competition for SNDK I suspect.
