    • First story I read did say holders of record 1-8-2004 but my trading account has it as 1-6

      • when date of record is set as in JST--Jan 8th--the ex-div date is always three business day prior--inclusive--a 1-08-04 date of record means the ex-date is 3 business days prior = Jan 6th--to get the dividend you must own the stock on Jan 5th--any buyers on Jan 6th or after do not qualify---IMHO--the cash dividend of .20c--.40c annually has no bearing on JST price or future price--traders or institutions don't buy JST for yield--they look at doubling capacity--the fact that the Co, is working three shifts a day, seven days a week to supply transformer demand--the attractive feature to me is the 3.12 million share base and aa 1.40 million float--your can't find a U.S. traded Chinese Co. that is viable, profitable, and has a future of substantisl revenue and profit gains--that has so few shares outstanding--thin = VOLATILE-both ways--JST is a buy--FYI
