Hey--Miami--how is the housing boom doing for you?
California and Nevada are screwed too.
You fat pigs did not want to retire did you?
What were the wars for?
Too bankrupt America?
That worked out.
Why do we need so many government workers?
Who says a Doctor needs to make so much money?
Why do we let idiots go on disability with fake claims?
Why is minimum wage so freaking low?
Why are we letting China use slave labor to import into America and thus destroy our manufacturing? Tariffs are OK.
Why is it the GOP want to kill Medicare, social security and allow Wall Street to steal from us all? AIG, Fanny Freddie, Goldman, bear, JP, all took trillions in government help and they want to cut food stamps for poor.
They should all be jailed.
If you work there, you should quit and get a real job.
If unemployment ever goes to 25% as it did in the 1930s, and it might, this nation will turn to the left and it will be over for you rightwing scum in the banks and institutions who have stolen from us all.
You will have to run out of the nation to avoid life in jail with Bernie.
Rush said Barney franks did it all?
Of course he is a liar, a racist, a fat pig, a jerk, and a drug using clown.
If you believe him, here is the fact to show you that Rush is scum and you are a moron to believe him.
Unpleasant news keeps hitting the airwaves relentlessly, with the latest news announcing that the U.S. housing recession has not bottomed out yet. Home values are still going down, having decreased another percent between February and March of this year.
“Home values fell three percent in the first quarter of this year, marking a pace of decline not seen since 2008 when the housing recession was at its worst. … There was little escaping the housing downturn in Q1 2011,” according to Zillow Real Estate Research, a real estate analysis firm.
There is little evidence of a housing recovery, and many homeowners are faced with sinking home values, more often than not far below than what they had paid for the property.
In March, close to two-fifths of homes sold in the United States were underwater, which means that the value of the house was below the price the seller had originally paid.
For example, according to Zillow, 85 percent of homes in Las Vegas are underwater; in Nevada, 73 percent; Phoenix, 69 percent; California, 60 percent; Tampa, 60 percent; Atlanta, 55.7 percent; and Sacramento, 51 percent.
“Negative equity [property with less worth than when bought] in the first quarter reached [a] new high with 28.4 percent of all single-family homes with mortgages underwater, from 27 percent in Q4,” according to Zillow in its May study.
What--you do not like this link of GW pumping the loans?
the truth shall set you free.
By thr way--that vote against Medicare by uyou idiots in the GOP will cost you huge in the next election.
All the Dems have to do is show the vote count and say GOP wants medicare dead.
What? No answers?
You mean Rush did not tell you this?
Maybe you need to dig your heads out of the dirt and look at facts more often.
33 GOP Senators voted for tarp. Almost 80% of the GOP in the Senate. GW signed it into law. This was way before Obama was in office. Paulson, the guy running the bailouts is a lifetime republican.
By the way--the GOP will of course pass the deficit funding because Wall Street owns them and wall Street will insist upon it.
You think not?
here is GW pumping those loans with fannie and Freddie. Do not say he did not because you now will look like a liar or a fool or both.
Forced the banks?
So barney has that kind of power does he?
Do you know how stuopid that statement is?
GW begged the banks to let go of money and now Obama is doing the same and the banks are just sitting on the money. No one made the banks give out crap loans and then insure them with AIG!
It was just a brilliant ponzi plan they all used for over a decade to get super rich. They new it would blow up but they all thought they would get out in time and that it would not collapse the entire system. They were wrong.
Nobody forces Goldman, Bear, JP, to do sheeeet.
I saw GW pushing for the home loans so do not deny that fact. I can put the video clip of him doing it right in your face.
I admit that Reagon all the way up to Obama did wrong. They were all bought off by power and money. But do not lower yourself by defending the GOP. They were in with the banks deep.
How about the most important fact moron.
Arguing who bailed out the banks is a moot point. The reason we had the financial meltdown was Barney Frank and Chris Dodd forced the banks to lend to people that were not qualified. Period.
TARP isn't actually legislation, it's a program that was enacted by Public Law 110-343, or H.R. 1424.
In the House, H.R. 1424 passed with the following breakdown of votes:
Democratic 172 Yea; 63 Nay
Republican 91 Yea; 108 Nay
Total - 263 Yea; 171 Nay
In the Senate, H.R. 1424 passed with the following breakdown of votes:
Democratic 41 Yea; 10 Nay
Republican 33 Yea; 15 Nay
Total - 74 Yea; 25 Nay (Sen. Kennedy was in the hospital and did not vote.
Once this measure was passed, the TARP funds were allocated no matter how anyone voted on the stimulus package (which isn't the same piece of legislation), so I'm not sure where everyone seems to be coming up with "no republicans voted for it" unless they just don't understand what you asked. Personally, I thought it was clear, but whatever.
Anyway, all of this information can be retrieved at http://www.house.gov/ and http://www.senate.gov/ along with the results and breakdown including names and parties of every roll call vote that they participate in. It's public info, and it's not hard to find.
