A figurative, political , and economic earthquake came out of Martha's Vineyard. It is ironic that it came out of Cass Sunstein's mouth, who is a classic leftist ideologue, and a student of Alinsky. Forget about the real earthquake, because it is B.S. However, Irene is important. By Laura MacInnis VINEYARD HAVEN, Mass., Aug 23 (Reuters) - The White House said on Tuesday that federal regulatory cuts would save Washington more than $10 billion over five years, but business groups warned that companies could face more costs from new rules in the pipeline. Cass Sunstein, administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, said the reforms identified across a range of agencies would reduce red tape for hospitals, small businesses, farmers, exporters and tax preparers. "We do see this as helpful to job creation," Sunstein told reporters on a conference call describing more than 500 cuts and reforms he said would save the government money, reduce waste "and thus strengthen our economy." The government says trimming its regulations would save it time and enforcement costs, and allow it to use its resources in a smarter way. Businesses could also see some cost-savings, it says. President Barack Obama had ordered the regulatory cutbacks -- spanning environmental My words: Obama is finally realizing that he has little chance to be reelected. Obamacare may be thrown out. Moreover, Dodd/Frank could also be defunded partially by the House. This ia hail Mary pass, that the media missed, due to the real earthquake in Virginia, and Irene. This is much bigger tahn people realize. For those of you who can't stand Obama, rest assured that the election of 2010 was pivotal. The guy is really scared, and his Party is terrfied!
alstanap, why don't you go float your political horse excrement elsewhere? You think the political environment has held INTC back for the last decade? Yeah, you probably do, because you're an effing moron.
LOL!! For good or bad the demise of the Obama Presidency is greatly exaggerated. Look at the Republican field of candidates. A virtual who's who of birthers, t-baggers, wingnuts along with corporate criminals flooding these candidates with unlimited cash. The Republican Party is viewed, and rightly so, as the puppet of the greedy monied interest who continue to wage economic war on the middle class. The middle class will elect the next president. It will not be from a party that is attempting to destroy our families and our livelihoods. I "betcha" on that bro.
Obama is a typical Chicago politician constantly playing class and race warfare games to try to maintain power. Attending Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years tells who the man really is. (Despite his lie that after saying that Wright was his mentor he "didn't know what he taught" LOL.)
