I love the comments on the bottom of the post, One person said "Netscape told Microsoft their browser wasn't good enough, and where are they now?"
Its interesting to see all the negative ARM comments under such articles, but yet with announcement from ARM the stock price goes up. Why? They aren't doing it based on financial data.
ARM is now over $31 a share, it's gone up since they announced making server chips. Again, at an Intel P/E the stock is worth under $5 a share.
The problem with talking up the future of ARM is at some point in the future, you have to deliver on the bright future you are selling. Investors wants to see sick, huge profits. (Sitting back with my ARMS folded) Go ahead ARMH, show us how it's done.
"You make giant presumptions about what they think... again, you declare game over before as it's just beginning..."
The game is over until ARM/TMSC has a plan, the money and the technology to move to 14nm production.
They don't even expect significant 28 or 20nm production until 2013.
We are just waiting to see how long it takes Wall Street, the media and the analysts to figure it out.
And fanbois like you, of course...
"ARMH taped out a 20nm A15 at TSMC"
You should read up on when they think they will actually have volume production. If TSMC thinks only 10 percent of its revenue is going to come from 28nm by the end of 2012, when do you think they are going to project volume production for 20nm?
Answer: Too far out to project.
Or maybe you think they'll have 20nm before they'll have 28nm. LOL
Expect to continue to see a whole lot of 40nm ARM production. And that's why that big ARM P/E is going to be fading away...
"It is game over because of Intel's monopoly in that area."
Windows is porting to ARM !!!!
"ARMH doesn't have the money to adequately compete. "
ARMH will be a rubber stamp for other companies to compete in the 64-bit server market...
