    Some interesting observations about ARM

"I think the point that people are missing is that all of this isn't a zero sum game."

"It would be further proof that the Intel era is over."

Not over, but when Win8 launches, it is the first time in decades INtel will face real competition. It's no longer solely who can build the fastest x86.

"I think in general the cost of hardware is still to expensive for most of the ARM devices. "

THe infrastructure is just getting started...

"Go look at what an unlocked cell phone sells for new and take that number and find what you can get for that same money in a laptop."

But your labtop processor doesn't run at less than a watt... and you can't put your labtop in your pocket.

"In order to really grow market for all processors we need devices that the real 99% of the planet can afford."

That's what next gen ARM will bring. Not because it's ARM. But because they are NOT INtel and can't dicate to their customers they will have to pay HUGE markups.

"Right now we're just seeing the very tip of the iceberg."

    AGain, Agree.
I've tried to point out to many here,
but they keep declaring game over when it's just beginning...

"It's going to be good for all of us"

    Yes, competition does that.
