“Although ARM is still unlikely to catch up with Intel in terms of processor performance in the next 2-3 years, since ARM’s products will eventually catch up with Intel, if Intel is unable to successfully cut into the smartphone and the tablet PC markets, while defending the notebook market with its ultrabooks in the next two years, Intel may face its biggest crisis yet in 2013, about half a year after Windows 8 is launched,” according to DigiTimes.
Then why did the new RAZR commercial end with the Intel jingle and this:
CORE I5, Visibly Smart 2nd Gen Intel Core Processors.
No idea. If the phone is the same one as on the MOT website, then it's ARM powered (TI) and not INTC.
This just in: New Droid RAZR with Intel inside shipping in MASS.
END OF THIS STUPID THREAD.......and the end of genitals61, LOL!
If you are talking about the phone below, it's got dual A9.
"Trim-Slice for Personal UseIf you consider purchasing a Trim-Slice for personal use we recommend that you check carefully supported features. As of July 2011 Trim-Slice offers Linux desktop functionality. Two significant features are not yet supported:
- Adobe Flash is not supported yet – so Flash video (e.g. YouTube) and Flash games (e.g. Angry Birds) do not work yet.
- GPU assisted video playback is not supported yet – so Trim-Slice does not yet play high definition video.
Owners of Trim-Slice can update the OS when new releases are made available.
We are working hard to improve SW support for Trim-Slice. You can follow Trim-Slice on Twitter for updates."
Surprising that no ARM systems exist.
For some reason Yahoo isn't letting me post links, do a google for "Plug Computer" or "Trim Slice" and you'll come across ARM based micro computers/servers than you can buy.
