If ARM guarantees success, why is RIMM going down, why were HP's touchpads dead on arrival?
It is Apple, Google and Samsung magics that are working, not ARM magic, nor QCOM, TI, nVidia (just stepping back, QCOM's communications IP magic is also at work).
Users pay for experience, pay more for better experience. Going forward ARM won't have any advantage over Intel, except price. And $100 bucks more won't matter for better experience.
However, ARM is a fashion now a days. I expect intellectuals(?) to intellectually(?) follow this trend for some time to come. They will keep on finding something to favor ARM and bash Intel even if their previous stands is proven wrong again and again.
Forgetting Intel's tri-gate and Medfield? There is no better sign of intellectual bankruptcy of so called intellectuals (analysts, reporters, etc).
