As a mature dependable supplier, Intel is waiting in the wings. Tim Cook needs to pull the trigger soon or risk going downhill fast!-----The 28nm part in question is the baseband. Intel's baseband is based on a 40nm process and manufactured by TSMC.For the application processor, Apple will use Samsung's 32nm process.
What an awkward relationship for Apple. Samsung just blew past Apple in smartphone sales and now Apple is dependent on parts from the same company to get its own product out the door.Any goodwill that existed between the two probably disappared long ago and Apple is likely throwing their delivery contract in Samsung's face daily. Is this the reality Cook wants to live with?

What's your response to this, Intel boys?DAGGER Apple will NOT be switching to Intel and anyone saying it here is just trying to pump the stock to 30 so they can exit. Scumbags.
Apparently you are unaware of two very important facts!1) A HUGE HONKING $5 miss is already priced in!2) The Bird Is The Word!Meanwhile, the pumpers, like my friend cornwallis, are pittin' out!TOOOOOOOOOOOFUNNNNNNNNNNNNNY!
