Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC): In his last job at Intel, Anand Chandrasekher was in charge of trying to penetrate the stronghold of Qualcomm as well as other specialists in chips for mobile devices. He is now switching sides. Monday, the San Diego company announced that Chandrasekher is to become Qualcomm’s chief marketing officer, and he will be in charge of overseeing all global marketing and external communications. The shares traded up $0.24 (0.91%) recently at $26.47.
Anand resigned Intel a year ago in March 2011 to be replaced by Mike Bell and Dave Whalen. He was Mr. Centrino and the man behind Atom. He left Intel to pursue other interests but was not at Intel when hired by QCOM.
I would say that Anand wanted a job rather than say he was "switching sides".
