McAfee today announced the availability of a free public beta of McAfee Social Protection, a new app for Facebook that protects users’ photos from being shared without their permission. Offered as a Facebook app together with a browser plug-in, McAfee Social Protection lets users select which friends have access to their photos and makes pictures appear blurry to everyone else. For selected friends, the photos will be displayed properly once those friends have installed the app, creating a second layer of protection

It shouldn't be too much longer until Intel announces a multi-billion dollar write down on the McAfee acquisition. What an absolute waste of money that was. I guess they were trying to compete with HPQ but they have a long way to go to get into the league of the Compaq acquisition as the biggest waste of money in history.
Intel is pulling in an extra billion dollars in sales a year from that acquisition. Plus it will be built into hardware. You have some wonderful grasp on the tech industry. No wonder why your resume gets ignored.
Intel news with WMware yesterday was based on their purchase of McAfee
so maybe they did understand the growing need for security and how Mcafee
would fit into their plans for the furture of computing.
