Marsavian kicks getanid61's teeth in, part 1

Thank you dear sir for exposing this guy as a total idiot. The reason he spends his life on a message board instead of solving real problems is because he isn't technical enough. Thank you for coming over here periodically to put him back in his place.

x86 has been successfully fighting and beating off the ARM ISA since the 1980s when the latter retreated into embedded after failing to beat x86 in PCs. Customers will choose the winners not the World's OEMs, it's called commercial capitalism and there is nothing on ARM's cpu roadmap to suggest that customers will suddenly be picking ARM chips to replace Intel x86 chips in notebooks/desktops/servers and it won't even be close as it's going to remain a shutout for Intel over ARM. AMD is currently dying because it has not really progressed beyond its Athlon64 performance of 10 years ago, ARM producing a similar performing chip in a couple years time will not get any volume customers attention. ARM is just hype, MIPS would have had a better chance architecturally but no-one seems interested in developing software for it.
