Will Intel drastically reduce the dividend or never increase it again?

According to the report, the Senate Democrats’ plan to shift the tax burden onto upper-income wage earners will likely cause them to shift their investments—here and abroad—to those that are taxed at lower rates. This in turn will likely cause dividend-paying companies to reduce the size of their quarterly dividend checks.

    • So, where are people going to go? Give up a 4.3% dividend to buy a 1% CD? Get real!

There will be some shifting of money and accounts and mailing addresses. The changes will be driven by the moral compass of each individual.

Intel has a plan to pay out 40% profits in dividends. Intel is not going to change that goal for tax legislation. They can even go beyond 40% their 40% with no problems since their cash flow will support much more than 40% of profit number.

      • That's it! And if anyone believes that we have a nice Red State where you will fit right in.
