by which this company's financials are in jeopardy? Don't give me a bucnh of Cramer nonsense, like "PC is dead." It isn't. INTC dominates servers, and is now introducing high performance smartphones, and the Haswell chips for tablets and up. There is NO credibility to what any doom analysts are saying...their statements always at best show an utter lack of knowledge about the chip sector and its technologies, and at worst are malicious mischief. I am serious..I'd like to hear some reasonable pundit explain why anyone wanting a great income source wouldn't buy this stock hand over fist?
The financials look solid even if the company contracts 1% per year for the next two years - but the market hates that kind of stuff, they like growth. And it's just unnatural for a solid stock to pay a 4.5% dividend in this economy. It makes everyone nervous, so they will find an excuse to cut it.
problem with intel is it used to be (and should be today if it had the right management) a growth company
it's grown so large, and has come to accept mediocrity, lumbering along while hungry competitors have swooped in and started to eat it's lunch!
that's not a formula for the future and *should* be a wake-up call for companies like intel and msft
I don't consider Atom, Haswell, the wireless chips, finfets, manufacturing transistors at 14nm, 10nm, 5nm (a mere 25 atoms on a side) to be sluggish lumbering around.
Of course, as a high-rolling trader you haven't a clue what these things are.
One bad quarter, with the whole industry slowing, and this is somehow the fault of management?? PC refresh cycle will begin anew in the near future, and Intel will be a huge winner with AMD faltering and their push into mobile.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
