    • i keep hearing the pc is dead... I tried to hook up my printer to my I phone the other day... it didnt work ... guess I need a PC... in regards to apple ... quite simply they came up with the Ipod, then added a phone to it, made it in 16 different sizes, sold each size with a different name, I pod, touch, nano, phone, pad, mini etc.... So now its prenny much I-played out... someone else will come up with the next greatest thing since sliced bread that everyone has to have and there is a very good chance that it will have an intel chip... quite simply they are the biggest gorilla in the room and if they were actually ever threatened, they could lower their prices so much that they would put the competition out of business

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • What you wrote is true, however it's very obvious to everyone and should be almost fully reflected in the current stock price.

      • it's presently a rent, only fools buy any semi stock as a long term investment.

poor Waldo, a year goes by and he's worse off than he started, long gone the heady days of 29, 28, 27, 26, 25, 24, 23.

      • You are doing pretty good, except for #5. There is no evidence that mobile domination will occur. This isn't like high performance microprocessors. For one thing, the barrier to entry is much lower for embedded processors. Being a generation ahead on fab process is nice, but the degree of integration and time to market is more important. SoC technology is more important than absolute performance, and Intel is years behind on SoCs. Finally, is x86 architecture any sort of an advantage here, or a detriment?

        Sentiment: Sell

      • I am loading up with LT calls. WHEN INTC gets to production ramp on 14nm and no one else is there, Apple will either migrate to INTC achitecture or pay up a lot to have INTC manufacture superior power/performance ARM chips exclusively for it.

INTC is the best domestic manufacturing play (forget about the proprietary architecture for a minute) that exists today.

        Good luck.
