Windows 8 is most likely the best Windows ever as work as PC+Tablet, Mouse/Keyboard+touch

Windows RT in no man's land

Soon Ultrabooks, will be affordable and with Convertibles & 5" smartphones to cannibalize Tablets

    • yeah....but now you have to do extra clicks.
      ----------------------------------------------------------

No extra clicks - for example , if previously you had a shortcut on your desktop to office word also in WIN8 you can create a shortcut on your desktop for office word.
And you can stay in the classic mode as usual . only now you have the option to use touch in case you have touch screen.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

      • win7 shutdown: go to startbutton and click, go to shutdown choice and click. done. NO searching for corner areas to pop up charms bars.
win8 shutdown: go to corner, hope charms bar get activated, find power choice and click, click again to shutdown. There are workarounds and 3rd party shells, just sayin they could have done better. It is quick booter though and IE10 is nice. The Apple and Android tile system is better and more intuitive, shocker. Remember when Intel was even bad mouthing Win8 ? That was strange.

    • win8 is so good MSFT canned the lead developer Steve Sinofsky several days ago. I run it and it is fast, but not what it should have been, it makes you go all over the desktop to get things done. It is selling slower than MSFT internal goal. They did no favors for Intel with this system, none at all.
