The rumor is all over the place that ARM is up because INTC is in talks to buy them. Is this just a rumor or is it fact. I'll bet its a rumor for the big boys to get out. If I'm wrong, what has INTC to gain? Answer, a complete monoply on the 2 instruction sets used for almost all computing. What would that do to the INTC is dead because they don't have any mobile presence? They then would have 100% of mobile and 99% of desk tops, tablets, and others. The only other competitor not beholding to INTC would be AMD's 5 billion in sales. What would that do to INTC's stock price. At the historic level of 22PE and a 3/share profit, we could easily get $66.00/share. Far fetched, but it would turn the hedge funds and shorters world upside down overnight. Matbe, god wiling, this would happen to give the big boys what they so justly deserve. Just my thought! What about Yours?
Stockjock is CONSTANTLY posting ignorant threads on here saying Intel should build ARM processors and now he's completely delusional. The rumor he talks about is NOWHERE but in his own head because he's trying to figure out a way Intel can go to 40 overnight. Stockjoke is an idiot.
Though this acquisition seems very far-fetched, I have always felt that there should be some strategic reason as to why Wind River (Intel subsidiary) continues to provide development/test tools for Android on ARM.
So why would Intel help its competition develop better devices to compete against its own?
Why would Intel further an instruction set/technology which can curtail the adoption of x86?
What is Intel's end game?
