i believe that intel is going to penetrate the market slowly, with its new 22nm chip.
while GS priced it at 16.00, it was not able to decline anymore.
the advantage that apple gains from it's chips in its iMacs (which are beginning to approach marketshare leadership in the pc industry), and intel's seeming willingness to now accept
their dominance will lead to a newly enhanced relationship toward meeting their needs.
any change toward an arm processor in the apple iMac would degenerate it's speed
significantly at this point, thus it will take upwards of 2-3 years before a switch would
as the iMac grows, and intel begins it's inroads into mobile, it will begin to again
see modest increases in it forward outlook.
as such, i'd go along with the 28.00 price target for 2013, as an overshoot of the current consensus.
in the meantime, it's been beaten to a pulp, and offering 4 1/2 % dividend handsomely
rewards me while i wait.
at the point where any type of deal on mobile, or with apple would be announced, the stock will
have already left the station, as it has started to do today.
