Intel expected to show new smartphone platform at 2013 MWC
I expect the new Atom to have the same architecture as Haswell setting it up for the low-end, while next generation Broadwell will be high-end. When process gets to 14nm, the Broadwell SoC will be in same power envelop as Atom, so Intel will be attacking the mobile market in the same fashion as they have done for decades in the PC market. Atom for low-end, Core (Broadwell) for high-end. This is why Intel never changed the name of the Atom to something else, they have been planning this setup from the beginning.
