The economy is moving up and Intel is going to move up with it.
"For the second month in a row, strong growth in the Americas region pushed the three-month average of worldwide semiconductor sales to increase at above typical seasonal rates. The averaged sales reached $25.73 billion in November 2012, up 2.0 percent from October 2012 and up 2.0 percent from November 2011, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association trade group."
Chump Street has been betting on doom and gloom but it's a bad bet and their beat down of technology is now going to come back and bite them in the rear end. No surprise. The economy is improving. Get used to it and get ready for it.
The other major factor continues to be fabrication. It's the reason Intel is clearly going to win the mobility war. All that foundational work is now going to start paying off. Intel and Samsung are going to be the last two standing due to the huge Capex demands of each new level of fabrication. And guess what? ARM is getting less and less out of each new node while Intel continues to get more. Someday maybe even Chump Street will understand the impact of FinFET. Intel has it. ARM doesn't and won't for four years. That's all you need to know. The economy and fabrication.
If you want another good investment put some money in crying towels. Chump Street is going to need a ton of those. If you order now you can get one with Lucy's initials on it...
