The iWatch Could Be The First Step In Apple's Plan To Kill The iPhone
[What could be more positive than Apple working with Intel on the iPhone? That would be Apple working with Intel on the successor to the iPhone...]
"Apple is reportedly exploring development of a watch-like product.
Small-minded people will scoff at the idea of Apple building a watch. After all, who needs watches when you have a smartphone. Further, Apple is a company with $200 billion in annual revenue. A $100 watch which will sell in limited quantity is barely going to move the needle.
While all of those are fair points, they're missing a much bigger picture.
There is a line of thinking that the smartphone era will perish almost as quickly as it began.
apple makes the iphone and they want to kill it ? Kinda like killing your own kids.
Another example of the stupidity of wally. He is a moronic possessed demon ...or something. Hell they still make an Ipod. I am shorting all wallys faves.
I deiest watches. This is a form factor issue. Some will like it, many will not. "Cool" will dictate this market. AAPL is simply a style company. And all style companies eventually end up passe, with their styles..
There are rumors floating around that Apple will come out with multiple screen sizes for then next version of the iPhone. If this is case, there's a case to be made for an larger screen version with Intel inside.
1) It seems the larger screen ( 4") phones are getting popular so Intel needs to get into this category
2) According to reports, it looks like Intel's next smartphone SoC will be far superior to anything arm-based ones. This means, Apple will have no choice but to use Intel just to be on even level with other phones that will be using it.
3) Apple can split the fab between tsmc and Intel.
