I think I must become more objective...this isn't working.
My bet on INTC is clearly a market underperformer...made more painful by a very strong market that I am not participating in. I feel like a complete idiot. One has to be objective. That means you DON'T put the rancid naysayers on ignore, but you DO put the Wallisweavers on ignore. In fact, when you're long, you should always put the pumpers on ignore...they are much more dangerous to your objectivity. Your theory has to withstand the assaults of the viscious vermin, and not become stroked into complacency by the pumpers.

I love it when posters look for someone else to blame for their investment decisions. The definition of a good investment is one that goes up, regardless of fundamentals. Look at AMD today, who woulda thunk?

AND, I am coming to agree with mr. back_bay_bstn that Mr. Ottelini can't be gone soon enough. How can a CEO sit by and let a continual erosion of his relative valuation continue unabated like this? There's been too much really bad decision making at INTC. Even if Ottelini isn't directly to blame, it's time for a new coach...this team hasn't made the playoffs in years.

AND how oh how could they reneg on the promise of LTE smartphones in early 2013??? Where is the GD RAZRI from Motorola/Google? That might, at very least, give us a slip stream to follow in GOOG's ascent. This is a frigg^n disaster.
