    Margins for ARM ecosystem have peaked

    ARM success was based on a "simple and cheap" manufacturing process.
    But that is going to change dramatically.
    The ARM fans should look at their own "icons" like NVDA's wafer price projections, TI dumping OMAP (is there a buyer for it) and East comments about cost burden due to double patterning.
    There will consolidation and the first phase is already in progress (ST, Freescale, TI).
    ARM idea was to take an ARM design and enhance it and have it produced by third partner at low cost -
    NO more cheap ARM SoC's - East already complaining about "expensive" 20nm.
    Well I got news for East:
    it's only to get worse
