"In fact, Google's biggest and most profitable Android partner, Samsung, is supporting a new platform called Tizen. (Intel is also a backer.) If Samsung switched from Android to Tizen, the phone platform scene would be transformed overnight. The first Tizen devices are expected within three months."
I've always wondered about that. Another version of Linux that is controlled by the phone companies instead of Google but close enough to run Android apps. It may go somewhere but so far people are entrenched in Android. If Intel is going to move some volume in mobile it will be based more on its hardware. BTW, I go away for a few months and entire tech world falls apart. What the H?
Poor Waldo, at the lofty price of 23.00, he could have gotten out with no losses on the shares he's held and relentlessly pumped on his June 2010 you'll be fine in 6 months if you bght at 24.00's, Of course, it took over 2 years worth of taxed dividends to do it. Such a tech geek, still no new skills, an old dog who never learns new tricks is doomed to failure. No one is gonna get rich buy and holding any semiconductor stock as a long term investment. Nice for trading, deplorable "investments".
