    What happens to ARM if TSMC can't do 20nm until late 2014 or 2015.

    They are on their own, No Intel breakthrus to copy at 20nm.

        TSMC will be building chips based on Intel technology . It's a good deal for TSMC, but Intel's motivations are less clear--and some of Intel's competitors should be very, very worried.

        TSMC will be building chips based on Intel technology . It's a good deal for TSMC, but Intel's motivations are less clear--and some of Intel's competitors should be very, very worried.

    • Snapdragon S800 at 28nm with integrated 4G/LTE is power/performance competitive with Intel's next Atom chip at 22nm (that needs an additional 4G/LTE chip to operate in the US), so it will make no difference to how many chips Intel will sell into mobile. Apple and Samsung are both at 32nm. If they rev their products this year, they can go to 28nm and then go to 20nm late next year or early 2015. They are both on their own trajectories not much impacted by competition because of their overall product quality. Summary: it will make no difference to anyone.

        My SG2 Skyrocket's response and battery life are very poor. Sure its look is attractive and display is very nice. Also its 4.5" screen size saved me from needing a separate tablet. SG3 is even better. I had almost gone for SG3 as my second famility smartphone, but backed out reminding myself of SG2 user experience. If more people catch up with this experience, SG's will no longer be hot. Will be replaced by Lenovos', Motorolas' models. So Samsung's dominance at present is not the end of the road.

        Having said that I have my own worries about Intel's execution and marketing strategy. Semiconductor industry is in war-time, but Intel's response is like it is piece-time.

        Lenovo IdeaPhone K900 Benchmark Result Surfaced, Shows The Power of Intel Clover Trail+

        (GSM Insider) - Lenovo IdeaPhone K900 Benchmark Result Surfaced, Scores More Than 25,000 Points.

        The image above showed the AnTuTu benchmark result of XiaoMi Phone 2 and Lenovo K900. The XiaoMi Phone 2 scores 21958 points but the Lenovo K900 scores 25481 points. It is clear that the Lenovo K900 higher performance than the XiaoMi Phone 2. Even you dont agree, at least AnTuTu Benchmark showed the figures.

        The Lenovo K900 is powered by 2.0GHz Intel Atom Z2580 and 2GB of RAM while the GPU is PowerVR SGX 544MP. The Intel Atom Z2580 is a dual-core processor with four threads.

        The important thing is the AnTuTu Benchmark result above does not represent the complete result. It is said that the benchmark belongs to Lenovo K900 prototype. Thats why the 2D and 3D scores are lower than the XiaoMi Phone 2. The complete Lenovo 900 should score more than 30,000 points.

        Samsung Galaxy S4 again spotted in bechmark this time its AnTuTu. According to screenshot revealed by Japanese Blog, rbmen is saying that Samsung Galaxy S4 is powered by 1.8 GHZ Exynos 5 Octa - eight-core processor and its running on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean.

        The Galaxy S IV is rumored to feature an Exynos 5 Octa (8-Core) CPU, Mali-T658 (8-Core) GPU, 4.99″ SuperAMOLED Full HD Resolution Display, 2GB of RAM, 13 Megapixel Rear facing Camera capable of shooting 1080p Full HD Videos at 30FPS, 2 Megapixel front facing camera capable of shooting 720p HD Videos and run Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.

        CLOVERTRAIL+ IS 32nm, 22nm coming this fall,

        Snapdragon S800 will be better than samsung's S4 but better than the clovertrail???
