    • You will see it even if Windows sales increase.. It will happen because a system that dual boots or multi-boots is more useful, more functional and worth more than a system that has access to only one software ecosystem. In addition to multi-boot, devices that use Core x86 can run nearly every operating system in existence using virtual machine software. So if an Intel tablet user wants to access the applications of a different software ecosystem they will a couple ways to do this, 1). Multi-boot for best performance or 2). Run a virtual machine under Windows for best convenience and still very good performance. The point is that if you've paid for good hardware there's no reason one should be limited to just one OS alone. The added flexibility also increases the resale value when one is ready to upgrade.

ARM promoters hate the Windows multi-OS feature because they know they can't offer this no matter what they do their chip.

    • Windows 8 is complicated so is dual boot. People will stick with straight Android tablets, mostly ARM based and the richer ones may get iPad. In the tablet space, the tone has been set by the iPad which is a very easy to use product. A novice user can start using one in minutes. Microsoft seems to overlook this fact with their design of their new OS.

Yet just 3 days ago you posted that the sales numbers have spoken and Microsoft had "a verifiable hit on their hands" with the Surface Pro. You are just lonely and like to have someone to talk to. Not even you believe 103% of the BS you post up.

[Yet more of the lame analysis that you used to predict that RT would be a success. And instead we found out that people wanted exactly what you said they wouldn't. No matter how many times you say it, it won't be true. People want more capability than they can get out of an iPad or an ARM Android tablet. And even kids as opposed to you have no problems with a Windows-based system. I don't know why you consider everyone's computer needs as under-developed as yours...]

        Sentiment: Strong Buy

      • Dual boot in the past has been just rewriting the master boot record and then installing the new OS on a section of the disk. The articles I found with a quick search don't indicate any complexity.

How are people installing all the dual boot OS without problems like they are?
