Ordinarily the location of a multi-billion dollar fab is not too much of a concern for shareholders but speaking purely from a business perspective one has to acknowledge the risk to a fab in Isreal is far greater than other locations Intel could choose. And the risk isn't just phyiscal assets. In a time of crisis employees understandably have to put the safety of their families first and they just may not be able to show up for work - nor would anyone expect them to. Still though, closures and temporary shutdowns can be costly.
When Intel has so many good options for a multi-billion dollar fab why expose the company and shareholders to the risk?
