seriously, will this thing ever see $25 this year?
All the hype on tablets, mobile, etc., is ultimately only worth a few percent of
bottom line. The mobile mkts are commodotized and don't really represent a large revenue stream..maybe $6 Billion total to the chip makers. Tablets may be better, but probably low margin. This is, at best, offsetting the very real implosion of PC's. I have to travel this week and dread lugging my dell inspiron around (what a pos that company and its products are...almost a MSFT in shoddiness) . So we're taking 5 steps forward and 4 back..or is it the other way around? And, fact is, that's been the Intel story for the past decade. Yes, they are the best, but always margins are shrinking. I just don't see any explosive catalyst here, and always the present danger from a Samsung, or a QCOM, or ? Give me $25 and I'm outa here.
My opinion is that you should sell now and move on doesn't sound like you have the patience for this stock. INTC will change the game in mobile. Right now tablets are more or less toys. You can't do real work on them unless you buy something like a $1000 Surface Pro which has questionable battery life. I have a Galaxy Tab and it is a great but very limiting on what I can do with it I watch movies on it and play music and that is about it. When the new generation of mobile chips come out it will become a better market. The explosive catalyst is going to be Bay Trail. Also, don't discount the improving server market and better then expected PC sales in the second half of the year.
I'm going to say yes, however I sold out yesterday at a profit and could buy back in at a lower average today than I was in when I sold out yesterday... and yes, I'm looking to get back in... but was able to take a profit and hope to be able to get back in at a lower average.... was averaged in at $21.32 yesterday and sold out at $21.45... if it maintains its current price I'd be able to lower my average in price right now, but I'm hoping of a little closer to $21...
