This is the one with the celebrated Qualcomm 1.5 GHz Chipset.
I'm currently seeing the battery life drop by 1% every minute the phone does just about anything.
As long as you're looking at the screen, whether it is talking, surfing, playing games, or anything.
It drains by about 1% a minute. So the phone has to be recharged every 100 minutes or so.
This is what makes ARM based chips so great?????
The specs say 20 hours talk time and 17 days standby time.
I don't believe the 20 hour talk time at all.
I guess for it to get over 100 minutes of useage, the screen has to be completely turned off.
Then what is the purpose of the smartphone to begin with.
So the battery efficiency of ARM based chips, if there is any, means nothing.
The phone is efficient only when not in use.
I don't know how long that kind of marketing will fool people.
I just checked the talk time. Talked about 34 minutes and it used up between 5% to 6% of battery life. That comes to about 10 to 11 hours talk time.
So already the 20 hour is exagerrated.
As for 17 days standby time. Who really cares?
People don't get smartphones to do nothing for a period of hours, let alone days, let alone over 2 weeks. Not even worth mentioning that efficiency.
What's interesting is that surf time was not in specs at best buy website.
I'm testing that now by watching a youtube video.
