So who will be the leader in internet TV?

    Will it be Apple TV?
    Google TV.
Or Intel's efforts will finally take hold.
    What form will it take?
The bottom line is that it will be internet based
and will require a huge amount of servers and data
    storage to deliver quality experience.
And this has got to be great for Intel for many years to come.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • If you look at the companies that already have content and subscribers, own their own transport, and are delivering bundled live TV, phone and Internet services to the majority of consumers it is easy to conclude that cable operators will continue to be the leader for multichannel live TV, Internet-based or not. Cable companies are already streaming their own content and they enjoy significant marketing, cost and regulatory advantages over any OTT operator trying to compete against them for live TV.

Live TV broadcast over the air is an exception. The courts seem to support Aereo streaming content that broadcasters deliver to the public. Aereo is the most significant new development in the TV industry and the service is incredibly cheap. The limitation is that the selection of content is no more than one can get over the air.

Streaming movies and other prerecorded material is already dominated by established players like Netflix, Vudu, Amazon, etc.

The problem with Apple, Microsoft and Intel is that they all have these huge corporate egos and they all envisioned doing something on a grand scale that would redefine the industry, but after all the talk and press releases about how they would revolutionize the industry they have accomplished very little.
