Intel basically has finally admitted tablets/phablets/smartphones has cannibalized a lot of their PC business. While its good that they finally have a competitive productive in this new space (except for smartphones), Intel will have its work cut out for it as it has to change their business model. Short/medium term, this is a big negative development. I'm just telling it like it is.
Silvermont is a small dual-core module including the 1 MB L2 cache at 8.4 sq mm and will devastate all the phone competition except for maybe the iPhone5S and they don't make them in Android flavor ;-). Broadwell-Y can do multi-thread Cinebench in under 5W which is fanless territory. Intel's profits and margins going forward will be just fine.
