According to Tech Trader.. This is not surprising if true. While Intel is a titan among technology companies the go-it-alone strategy Intel's Media Group articulated in the press was naive and misguided. Set-top boxes, massive server farms and slick user interfaces while useful, are easily replicated and are not nearly enough to be a leader in the delivery of live TV or to take on incumbent cable and satellite operators in their core business.
Can they now partner with anyone that has enough content or distribution assets to make a go of it? Probably a stretch. More likely the effort just fades away.
