Republicans in the House have the suicide belts on and will destroy the economy if they blow up the debt ceiling.

Yes, it will be a disaster.
NO---the Teaparty nuts do not understand nor do they care.
BUT---The republican party, AMERICAS taliban---will be over if this happens.
The President will likely be forced to take extrodinary measures just days after the default takes place.
Our markets will crash. To avoid a depression, likely Marshal Law with extrodinary poweres will go to the President.
Teabaggers will be arrested for inciting riots should they even appear in public.
Yes---Come Tuesday and no deal---I think the sheet will hit the fan in the markets world wide.
John #$%$ will be having is closet gaye love life taking it up his rump while our nation is hurt.

The day after the crash--Teabaggers will be wise to hide.
    People will want revenge.

    • Obama & Dems know Obamcare has lots of problems but are in complete denial about it and are doing NOTHING to fix it.

Obamacare is not as promised (save $2,500/family, not add one thin dime to deficit ($1.8 trillion over 10 years is latest estimate), keep your doctor and healthcare plan). As such, this should be reviewed and fixed.........but Obama and Dems are in denial.

Also, do you agree with Obama and Dems punishing citizens when they don't get their way on continuing to deficit spend? They have closed things never before closed in other government shutdowns.........including 3rd party contractors who actually pay the government to run things. Do you agree with punishing us? Note they also tried this with sequestration.............or do you forget those stories???

At $17 tillion in debt, that is $510 billion/year in interest payments..........$850 billion/year at 5% interest. Do you hear Obama and the Dems talking about cutting spending or the deficit..........other than more taxes which will shrink and not grow the economy?

Go ahead and correct me where I am wrong above. Most likely you will just call me names but not be able to address the details in this message!!!!!!!!!!

[I would be happy to correct you where you are wrong. Your whole discussion is red herring. There hasn't been a Republican president since Eisenhower that has balanced a budget.

"Dwight Eisenhower was the last Republican President to balance the budget. And, if we use today's standard of what political ideology would qualify as Republican, Dwight would likely be a Democrat today if he were running for office. Ike supported New Deal policies, the GI Bill, Interstate Highways and a 91% progressive tax on the rich. He did have some conservative ideals, but he was more of a left leaning progressive."

So, maybe you can't even count Eisenhower.

"Vice-President Cheney laughed off the promises that the Bush tax breaks would pay for themselves and the budget would be balanced: “Reagan proved deficits don’t matter.” But deficits do matter to Republicans…whenever there is a Democratic president."

And that's the bottom line here. Republicans haven't cared about balancing budgets for over three decades. But now that a Democrat is in office, they claim to. So, don't talk to me about budgets and spending until such time as a Republican president balances a budget.]
