    • Here is a rundown on Intel's quarterly report from 2009 showing the EU fine and how it affected the results:

"Yesterday as the market closed, Intel reported the second fiscal quarter earnings for 2Q 2009. On $8.0 billion in revenue, if the numbers exclude paying the $1.45 billion EU fine for antitrust violations, Intel would have reported their largest ever 1Q to 2Q growth since 1988, with a net income of $1.0 billion. After paying the fine, however, the company was left with a net loss of $398 million.
Excluding the EU fine, Intel would have reported a per-share profit of $0.18. With the EU fine the company reported a net loss of $0.07 per share."

The fine has ALREADY BEEN PAID and accounted for. Does anyone else remember that mean spirited head of the EU Anti- Competition Committee Neelie Kroes, who actually hated Intel and took pleasure in pursuing this case. Don't forget that Intel also wound up paying off AMD to the tune of $1.5 Billion also. It turns out that AMD showed a rare profit because of that payment...some sort of sick Justice at work here. Let's hope that more fair minded heads prevail at the appeals court and that the fine is reduced or completely overturned.

    • You truly are a dirtbag,INTC is appealing it's old case which IMO was IMO nothing more than a Euro shakedown to begin with, I hope INTC prevails.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Did an acorn hit you on the head again?

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • American Idiot -

    • Intel already paid the fine, years ago. This is get some or all of it back because the EU hid exculpatory evidence from the Court.
