Let's see, CPQ stock price about in the same
range as AMD. One is a $37b company that is grossly
undervalued if they can get their act together. The other a
pint sized company that is about to vomit huge losses.
Which is a better value?? Is there a correlation
between CPQ and AMD stock price?? These two started the
sub $1000 computer that seems to be at the core of
i'm a long term bull on INTC and own a few
thousand shares but its abit ahead of itself here with a
P/E of over 40.
i wouldn't be surprised to
see it in the lower 80's very soon.

Lots of consumers
would like to have a winner like that, even INTC
investors like me. I am neither partisan nor purist and
would love to have a screaming 750 Athlon on my desk if
it proves out.
But you need to deliver fairly
soon, I don't think anyone will buy it on layaway.

Possibly. Certainly with AMD shares trading
probably only 2X where they went public ~15 years ago, one
would think that they have room to go up...
Athalon is by all accounts very impressive. But, for long
term growth AMD will need more designs (read design
teams)and more manufacturing capacity (read fabs)... two
things Intel has plety of. Also, AMD will have to
execute flawlessly - something AMD has a spotty record of
