I'm looking at Tesla's cash flow and income statement. They don't look too good. Better Place had the right idea of charging networks but couldn't team up with enough EV companies to succeed. They only had one model, so they failed. What needs to happen is companies like Tesla need to team up with charging companies like CCGI or Ecotality, or both. If that happens we can see some joint cooperation, both financially and business strategy to finally overcome the EV funk. And it'd be great for the stockholders of all companies concerned.
Standardization of the plugs is an obvious move the rest of the industry is moving that way.
The amount of energy that goes in and how fast; depends on the chemistry and size. The manufacturers of the chargers will have tto know what limits the battery in the car has.
I agree.. it takes Team Work.. Word is TSLA is opening dealerships in China ... Maybe they should talk with the new Zap/Jonway of China about joint dealerships... Zap/Jonway received 17.million in dealership financing and i see no problem in sharing space with Tesla ... other then False American Pride which is something the Chinese will ignore when looking at the new line
