I have not either...seen Volts (early on, and more recently), a few Leafs, I even was stuck in stop and go traffic with a Fisker! Seems like every forth car or so is a Prius (sorry GM people still buy them no matter how much you call them ugly). Plan on making a trip to a shopping center where there is one in a showroom.
I saw my first last week in Atlanta on I 75 north. Car was very stylish and was weaving in and out of traffic very fast, and agile. Accelerations appeared very sudden an no noticeable sound.. Car also appeared very small, was the roadster convertible. Would like to see at a standstill and view the interior but will have to wait.
I see about 3-4 on avg during my 20 min commute. Of course, this is in Silicon Valley. People here have way too much money. Median home price is $800k. Avg home price is $1M. National median is $200k?
Obviously you live in the south where the only thing you see on the road are 15 year old rusted out pick-em-up trucks. You have to go to an area where people are smart enough to have earned some money.
There are planty in CA. The problem as of now is the charging stations. They are being installed in every mall, airport and major city centers in CA but not sure one can find them all over. More the cars themselves, these charging stations are going to be the money makers. They are mainly solar charged and cost very little to install.
