TSLA has made the full upward parabolic move. I think every stock that has done this has met with an enormous decline to its pre-parabolic level at some point. Who knows when the return to reality happens but I'm confident it will.
TSLA is now worth 1/3 General Motors in market cap yet only sold about 5,000 cars compared to GM's millions in the last 12 months. Irrational exuberance.
Also TSLA is not profitable when you remove the government credits so they can't stand on their own still. This one is going to end ugly for longs who don't time the exit.
TSLA longs who have held for less than a year should not realize profits at the high income tax rate for short term gains. Those who have concerns about a pullback buy insurance by hedging their investment with exchange traded options.
