Too much competition coming and TSLA has a low probability of being able to compete against them all and still make a profit. There is a lower chance of TSLA price going up from here than there is possibility of crash.
thats funny. gm goes bankrupt, government still owes 20 billion of the company. tesla borrows 456 million pays it back along with a penalty for prepayment and they cant compete with gm. i predict gm back in chapter 11 in 10 years
Tesla IS the competition! Are any of the other manufacturers going to have the advantage of the flat battery pack.? No Are they going to have the falcon wing doors where you can stand up in the back seat? No.
But the good part of the story is that more ecars out there, the more chargers out there. The more chargers out there the more ecars. The supercharger is great, but there are some holes in the system. Such as in yellowstone NP. You can charge in Cody, WY, and drive through Ystone, but you can't drive circles in Ystone. But that problem can be fixed.
Already we are reading about people having at least 2 major problems: 1: Due to camber, rear tires prematurely thinning on the inside and requiring a change after less than 10,000 miles, and 2: An annoying loud hum when driving more than 60 miles per hour. Check for yourself. Google 'tesla forum rear tire' and 'tesla forum 60 mph'
Those other companies are culturally against EVs. They build them low range and ugly to thwart any desire for them. There are no profits in repairs or replacement parts for EVs. They are highly reliable and require less parts relative to an ICE car which have a gazillion parts to repair and replace.

Sure GM, Nissan, BMW and VW will TRY to compete. But your forget that Tesla drove over their backs of dysfunction to derive at the Model S. Heck even the Caddy ELR and BMW i3 contenders still fall short of the Tesla standard.
Furthermore, as it produces more and more cars, quality control can suffer, service stations can get overwhelmed and wait times could be lengthened for fixing the car. They would to train service personnel quite rapidly. One major lawsuit can pull many investors out quite quickly. They are growing too fast and the share price is way too high for comfort.
