    Seeking Alpha article

The article by this Russian guy claims that when all the options are exercised, Tesla will see a huge dilution. Did anyone read it? What a pile of garbage.

    • I don't read any of their articles anymore! They had a guy there writing articles that just graduated from college with software engineering degree and unemployed! I look up all the writers names to see if they even have business degrees since they are writing about investing. I want experience and proven investing advice. Not someone who needs a job fresh out of college, unemployed in a field that is in high demand.

    • The presence of these options is well known and as been discussed on this message board many times, however, I have never seen it clearly set out as to how many shares would become available for sale on the market on what dates. In the article he is referencing a link to edgar for notes to the Tesla financial statements, so he is basing what he says on the actual company documents. It is not easy to publish on seeking alpha, as you have to have something reasonably original, well written, with some references or graphs to go with it, and it gets sent back to you for revisions a few times. Also he is not saying huge dilution, he is quoting 25 million, plus 2.02 million for regular employees, it is a lot but not huge. However it seems he is not including the dilution from the bond conversions, which also has to be added. Would be nice if somebody made a list of all of these details.

Seeking Alpha publishes anything that anyone cares to write
They've got no credibility with me

    • Everyone knows these kind of issues are not fully priced in because many retail buyers are just chasing gains in these momentum plays. Just because you may have knowledge on the issue, expect that many do not.
