I'm sorry but the people driving these cars are #$%$
Either you're following to close to the care in front of you to see this debris to stop before you hit it or you're speeding or on your cell phone not paying attention. Geez-you're driving a 100k car or a 1m car (according to those investment freaks) . Get real drivers. As for Tesla-just add a titanium cover that mounts to the battery screws that is 1/2" thick. End of story. No one has been hurt by the fire-that's good news but the car melting isn't. Perhaps there will be a recall to fix this issue. Once the engineers fix this issue-we won't hear about it ever again. Too bad idiots are driving these cars.
Drive over a trailer hitch with a conventional car
It may not catch file but it will #$%$)ck up a lot of shlt in the undercarriage to be sure.
On second thought, it may just take out a transmission cooling line and then litter the road with fluid until the tranny gets hosed hard
