Does it seem weird Tesla has needed to expand worldwide to sell 20-40000 cars?

To me expanding worldwide to sell this many cars is full of risks

    • "We are supply-constrainted"....
Quick, buy $500M in equipment to build twice the # of cars.

      Well, which one is it?

They could build 50% more cars by simply running A THIRD SHIFT and Saturday builds now.

    • That how Ferrari, BMW, Jaguar, and Mercedes do it.

      • Really, you want to compare Tesla with one factory to Mercedes?

      • you are correct

      • Mercedes sells a lot of cars in Germany, and EU. Not really the same as Tesla and Ferrari, niche cars with limited market.

    • Thats a great observation. Seems they need to keep the buzz alive, and thats the way to do it?

Limited market for a great but pricey EV. Heck, keep it an elitist purchase and sell worldwide.

Elon is genius. Its a house of cards, but its a $17 billion house thats operating at a loss.
