Tesla Motors, Inc. (TSLA) Message Board

It's brains not brute that will win.

    Mr. Jonas finally said it

"Tesla Motors has its pick of software engineers to make EVs and autonomous cars"

That's why no one can compete, throwing money doesn't solve problems, as my first boss told me "work smarter, not harder."

    • What a joke - software engineers might be added value at startup dot kom - but mostly overhead at a car company.

and handful of sissies buy vehicles because of the computer screen.

it is a vehicle for gawd's sake - you are going to lose everything chasing this pipe dream

    • Good post. I understand that Tesla and Google are 2 of the most desired companies to work for and that's important because demand is high for engineers in general in Silicon Valley let alone the best. Not a very large pool of available talent.

Good point by your boss. Paying me or you anyone in the NBA a billion bucks still won't make them play like MJ...

      Sentiment: Buy

    • Right, it's brains that Telsa used to decide to challenge that Wisconsin lawyer who makes Keef seem rational (sorry, teapot, calling you rational must seem like an insult.) Tesla has to grow up and realize sometimes you swallow hard and pay off extortionists, however repugnant. The adage that no publicity is bad publicity is a PR novice's excuse, particularly if the adversary is likely to do more damage than a quick settlement would cost. Why do you think the lawyer is having so much fun trying to collect a $800k judgment from Mercedes over a single S Class? How much do you think Mercedes spent on inside and outside counsel fees, let alone the wasted executive time?

      • "Tesla has to grow up and realize sometimes you swallow hard and pay off extortionists, however repugnant. "

I find this very repugnant, and if true (and I'm willing to submit it might be true!) maybe it's time for a change.

      • Why let someone impugn your integrity or reputation? Personally, I'd do the same thing not for the publicity but to restore confidence, punish a blackmailer and hopefully limit him in the future. You have a good point about his attack on MB but I'd submit to you (I have confidence we'll agree on this) that Tesla owners are very enthusiastic and protective, especially when they feel the brand is being unfairly attacked by someone with impure motives. While there are those who have service issues, I see numerous posts where they are effusive about how amazing their Tesla service experience has been. Point being this ambulance chaser and his co-conspirator (yes I've made up my mind) could face a backlash which he isn't likely to be facing when suing others.

Agree with you on this keef guy. He's just dumb. Occasionally I take him off ignore, where he resides along with the other dopes that are long or short, and read a message only to find he's reposting the same worthless stuff. There are posters like you and others that I, let's just say, disagree with but are intelligent. This guy isn't.

    • Jonas has little credibility.
