what the hell !!! we just had a dilution?!! Any thoughts?

I have been long for a long time!!! I just don't get the dumping of shares just before announcing to double the number of shares?!?!?! Unless they plan to acquire SSYS..... WTH... and right before the fed announcement... management is starting to test my limits! I'm going to hold but I need info fast!!!! Elon Musk bought in 100 million dollars of his company when he announced share offering! this company needs to learn a few of Elon's tricks!!!

    Sentiment: Hold

    • I love causing a ruckus. I've held this for a year. The best way to get answers on these boards are to sound like a desperate 21 year old who has put all his savings on one stock and has no clue what is going on. I am NOT panicking. That said, no insider selling is good news, but insider selling before a second secondary offering is not very inspiring either. I do realize it will be good for their balance sheet, but in my opinion, this isn't a merger situation since SSYS has completely different goals, but rather acquisitions of smaller companies or expansion. Why not acquire one company, then after, do another offering? Demonstrate their strategy. I feel this is rather rushed and aggressive! I understand the concept of striking when the Iron is hot. But why would insiders sell their shares now if this could potential send shares flying higher? They could sell them later!!! One offering per year quarter is all I am saying!

Also...forget about insider selling for a's in management's best interest to keep the pps up if they're trying to lure in new acquisitions when your entire business model depends on it.

How long should insiders hold? No matter when they sell they'll be called into question. Plus, the market has been roaring. If you're sitting on a mountain of shares....which Abe is...why wouldn't he trim at this opportunity if a) he knows he's going to get more options/shares via his compensation and b) there's no guarantees when it comes to the market period. Also, it's worth noting that Hull sold when the pps was at $33-32 and well before the latest run up.

    • DDD might byout XONE . IMHO

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • It's hard to say. First was the split on the same day as lousy earnings thing. Now this. It's really hard to say. Yes, the share price has gone up dramatically. But I find that more due to reaction, maybe hope, from the investors/ traders rather than anything management has actually done since the earnings. Certainly their actions, as you note, as well as other news on the industry, would have been bearish on prices for almost any other stock.

Except my AAPL of course. No matter what happens price seems ready to sink at the first excuse it gets.

    • DDD only in market 2 years. How long is your long? 3 month?

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • calm down...don`t panic...everything will be fine

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

Calm down. They (we shareholders) voted to raise the debt ceiling - only unlike the govt. this mgmt. has a pretty good track record of generating good ROI on any dilution. Something is definitely up.

    • the stock has been on a tear & management is testing your limits? take a look at the month chart & then think about how ridiculous that sounds ... any share increase was voted on & approved by shareholders; money raised will be used for acquisitions (XONE?) and will lead to a stronger company going forward. Long-term vision = intelligence ...

      Sentiment: Strong Buy
