Hello from Nice, France & DDD future

Hello to my old friends, cyber28, et al. Been following DDD closely. The new board members are quite ecclectic to say the least. If you followed some of my earlier posts going back to May 2012 I pretty much expected DDD to be on this path of growth. I also agree with a fellow poster that I still think it's possible for it to reach the $100 EOY. I don't trade, not that there's anything wrong with that. I just invest and buy on dips. I appreciate people like cyber and a new board member stockgirl. I sincerely hope others appreciate their help and expertise. The bashers and malcontents know who they are and I feel sorry for you. So...I visited Phenix in Riom, France. They have some major global contracts upcoming soon. Since that was one area 3D hadn't filled yet they will be a huge plus. There are lots of reasons that 3D will continue to grow, Phenix is just one of many. As I met with colleagues here in France and Switzerland DDD is well recognized as the leader, It will only get better as they spread their reach globally. I believe a split will be in the near future as well. They announced a split last time around $60, today that would be $40 pre split. I am and will be continuing to buy and hold. I wish you all good luck and good fortune, If you are malicious or hurtful find a different board to spew your venom. Perhaps you can form an idiots anonymous for your own kind. Let's maintain some civility and learn from similar and opposing suggestions. We learn mostly from mistakes. So from France bonjour et bon chance. All the best. Ogewen. P.S. for all of you with helpful and sincere advice I thank you profoundly for your assitance, too. Sorry that I forgot your names.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Thanks to you, stockgirl and cyber for your valuable insight and due diligence. It's a joy to read your posts. One question...have any of you researched SGLB and could you comment. Their relationship with GE and others seems intriguing along with their PrintRite3D product.

      • Hi Alec, thanks for the compliment. I try to give honest and unbiased opinions. I have no ulterior motives so my opinions are just that opinions based on DD and some forward thinking. So here goes...
I think it is months away before revenue from the SGLB & GE will materialize in financials. Holding a position is risky. Many pink sheet (OTC) moves on news or speculation. When that isn’t substantiated it can collapse on its own weight. That’s happened to ONVO prior to uplisting and even to a lesser degree after uplisting onto NYSE. When they try to raise funds by dilution the PPS share drops, if they do that again in the near future it won’t bode well about their ability to finance the company. They are being compared to the likes of DDD, SSYS, XONE and ARCAM. But those comparisons are not realistic. Of the four I mentioned above DDD,SSYS and Sweden’s ARCAM have been viable companies for decades and only recently have shown growth and revenue. If you are purely in a speculative mode and losing an investment in SGLB would not be catastrophic for your financial health then just be aware that IMHO it’s a long shot! First, they are not going to compete in the metals category with XONE and ARCAM for a long time. Secondly, DDD & SSYS are now being poised to also compete in the metals printing and I believe they will be months away in competing in that realm as well. DDD, however, acquired French Phenix Systems, that was in metal 3D printing and has also recently acquired a British firm that also competes in that sector. I hope that helps. All the best. Ogewen

      • Aren't you sweet! Thanks so much. Have you followed ONVO today. They filed a 8-K with an agreement with Roche, it's up to 6. Their liver assays are what Roche will develop and expose not only US pharms, but the European markets as well. I expect themto continue and refresh their aggrement with PFE, too. Your thoughts and expertise are always appreciated and valued. I bow to your financial accumen and caring concern to help and educate. Don't lose that spirit to those who enjoy maligning people in general. I despise them, but in the end it's a waste of time engaging them at their level. All the best and glad to see you back on DDD's board. All the best to you, too. Ogewen

    • Great to have your input here again Ogewen. Especially your view on Phenix. Thank you for that. Are there other stocks in the 3D Print sector you like actually ?

      • Actually , yes. I've posted before about ONVO. They are a 3D bioprinting comapany that recently uplisted from OTC to NYSE. I bought severak K's at 2.50. They actually will be printing liver assays for drug testing in 2014. Today they just announced a collaboration with Hoffman Roche (Swiss pharm) and they also probably will continue with PFE. They have moved significantly today following the announcement with Roche. They could and probably will revolutionize the drug development since the liver assays do not need FDA approval and will save big Pharm multiple Biilions in development costs. I hope that helps. All the best. Ogewen.
